I got a kind of bee in my bonnet about becoming a game developer. Silly idea I know, but a great learning experience. I’ve written thousands upon thousands of lines of code over the years but never actually sat down to make a game.
I found a course on a free on-line university (udemy.com) and began learning. After a couple of very basic games and a very silly text adventure NAAC became my first proper attempt at a video game.
A simple Breakout/Arkanoid clone modelled after the utterly brilliant Poing from the Amiga Assassins PD Library.
Mouse driven knock out the red bricks at the back to escape on to the next screen. There are 5 screens to be had in total.
