How did I miss this one on the Amstrad?  Looking back though old issues of AA magazine it seems it was over shadowed by the release of Head Over Heels.

Shame because it turns out this game is an absolute cracker and I wish I had a little more time to spend with it.

Like all the best games it’s an amalgamation of two or three games that leaves you sure you’ve played it before.

At first stab it’ll probably put you in mind of something like Tau Ceti, though on a grander scale and with a little less action.

The game probably as more in common with the venerable Adventure from the Atari 2600 days.  Especially when you get underground.

You play the titular Mercenary who as crashed landed in the middle of a war zone on an alien planet.

Your task, however you choose to achieve it, is to earn enough money to buy a ship capable of taking you off the world.

Gameplay is from a first person perspective with you controlling a camera looking into a 3D world.  The 3D being built using wireframe models.

If there are any complaints to be had its the game is heavily reliant on the exploration side and for long stretches of time very little will actually be happening.
